CATHERINE RIEDER

 Executive Director

As a New Orleans native, Catherine knew that her passion for her hometown would always bring her back.  Following her graduation from the University of Missouri she returned to New Orleans and enrolled at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law.  She became keenly aware at this time that she could effect change within her very own community through work within the criminal justice system.  While attending law school, Catherine worked with the Stuart H. Smith Law Clinic and Center for Social Justice as a Rule XX student practitioner in the Criminal Defense Division.  Catherine continued her passion for the protection of the citizens of New Orleans by entering into private practice as a criminal defense attorney subsequent to her graduation. She has maintained active engagement with New Orleans and its citizens through several volunteer opportunities and organizations.  She firmly believes that by empowering the citizens of New Orleans, the city can reach its greatest potential.
